The quality of a product also depends on the work preceding its realization, the organization of processes, and the ability to address critical issues that may emerge during production. It is in these aspects that Officine Fratelli Taiocchi has invested in recent years, initiating a process of organizational growth that is now approaching the final stage of the ISO 9001 Certification process.
Relating this journey is Franco Ravanelli, Quality Manager at Taiocchi, who joined the company three years ago with the goal of developing a quality management system capable of involving all departments and fostering greater internal collaboration.
This effort finds its main application in the daily management of non-conformities. When a problem is identified, work is paused and the situation is analyzed alongside department heads to find a solution. However, the intervention does not end with resolving the error. Understanding its root causes prevents it from recurring and allows the lessons learned to be applied to other operations that might face the same difficulties.
For Ravanelli, who has worked in quality management for over twenty years, people’s engagement is essential for the system to function effectively:
“The Quality System is created by all employees, by everyone who works in a company.”
It is precisely this awareness that has guided Taiocchi along the path toward ISO 9001 Certification, a journey that required time and commitment from the entire organization. The objective is to consolidate a shared working method capable of meeting customer demands and contributing to the improvement of production processes.
In the interview, Franco also speaks about his professional experience, his daily collaboration with colleagues, and the satisfaction of seeing the work accomplished recognized by customers.
